Airblue is a private airline that was founded in 2013 with its head office on the 12th floor of the Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE) Towers in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is the country's second largest airline and is led by a team with decades of experience in the industry. The company was founded by Tariq Chaudhary, who also serves as the CEO and Chairman of the Board. In 2018, Chaudhary was replaced by Masoor Ali Shah, who is currently the CEO of the company.
Airblue is the first airline in Pakistan to introduce many innovations, including online ticketing, self-check-in kiosks, and electronic document handling. The airline was also the first in Pakistan to have an international destination, and it has recently added a second destination in the United Arab Emirates. The company's fleet consists of next-generation Airbus A320 and A321 aircrafts. The airline operates scheduled flights linking six domestic destinations in Pakistan.
